The presentation at the Baltimore
Metropolitan Council (on 1/24/06) went well which was essentially to solicit
support for:
Strategy4B of Maryland
That is to
say put citizens, key stakeholders and the Bike/ped advisory groups in charge of
their local projects and funding of those projects. Or give us a budget and the
ability to procure Federal Funds and let us make the best of it rather then
fighting for accommodations every single road project. This process parallels
other transportation modalities. This process will help create and keep more
livable and desirable communities which should be every ones goal.
I have an 8 page support document
if anyone is interested in seeing it, just email info@baltimorespokes.org. oldId.20060125155312558

Thanks
again for the opportunity to address the Council on cycling issues and concerns.
I
would like to applaud Mayor O
I neglected to say this:
Cost of a speed hump = $5k
