Pettigrew’s mother, Kenniss Henry, sent a message to the driver in an interview with WJLA-TV news.

[B’ Spokes: Later in the article it notes "a spokeswoman for Mikulski said the senator was "very sorry" at the news of Pettigrew’s death." Makes me wounder if the Cadillac Escalade was bought with some of that $10 million tax break Mikulski fought for. https://www.baltimorespokes.org/article.php?story=20090413145616668 ]oldId.20100923114843305

I am very sorry for the loss of your daughter. I hope that something positive can come out of this in her honor. As for the moraless magot that hit her, one can only ask why we as a society tolerate this. Further, one can only wonder if it was the woman who reported it was driving the car or if it was a teenager. My bet it was someone else….a 41 year old woman would know better (or not). Reason why she is not being charged is simple….judges, lawyers, polititicans and the old "it is who you know".
Sad. Very sad.
