included is advice on best practices during inclement weather and night-time riding, suggested equipment, types of bikes you might consider, and even suggestions on taking long-distance bike rides.

This is something that needs to be stressed right now. I’ve been noticing a lot of new bikers on the roads around Pratt St. and as excited as this makes me, it also worries me because some of these bikers aren’t following the rules. A lot of bikers bend the rules, rolling through red lights, riding on side walks. Even though this illegal according to Maryland law, it’s not being enforced because people aren’t being stupid about it. Well, it’s getting to the point where people are being stupid about it and they need to stop.
Be smart about how you bend/break the rules, don’t make it blatant.
