The Webinar will be presented by Gabe
Rousseau, Ph.D., Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Manager for the FHWA Office
of Natural and Human Environment, Barbara McCann, Executive Director of the
National Complete Streets Coalition and principal of McCann Consulting, and
Michael Ronkin, Designing Streets for Pedestrians and Bicyclists, LLC.

Complete Streets and Context Sensitive Solutions

Thursday,

ContextSensitiveSolutions.org and the Federal
Highway Administration are pleased to present a free webinar on June 11, 2009,
from 2:00 – 3:30 PM EST. The webinar will discuss the role of Complete Streets
in creating Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) that provide safe and efficient
transportation options for all users.

The 1.5-hour webinar will provide an overview
of the Federal Highway Administration’s perspective on Complete Streets,
including a discussion on the importance of pedestrian and bicycle issues, and
what federal programs and policies are available to support communities in
their Complete Streets efforts. Furthermore, the webinar will detail the design
and implementation strategies of Complete Streets and how they relate to
Context Sensitive Solutions initiatives. The presenters will also review the
accelerating adoption of complete streets policies and laws across the country.
There will also be an interactive Q+A session and an opportunity to download
essential Complete Streets and CSS materials.

The webinar will be presented by Gabe
