Yea while this deputy is a tool, he’s also, unfortunately, a police officer. Just do what they tell you, let them have their little power trip, and they’ll usually go away. If you don’t you are breaking the law and this sort of thing can happen. Unless someone got the whole thing on video, you are usually screwed.
This sucks but that’s how it goes.
