\nThere are currently three openings on the CEQ. You must be a
\nBaltimore County Resident to apply. The CEQ needs
\nrepresentatives from agriculture; the residential building
\nindustry; and the from environmental conservation and
\npreservation. The CEQ meets monthly in Towson and additionally in
\nsmaller working groups. This is a VOLUNTARY effort.\n<\/p>\n

The purpose of the Baltimore County Advisory Commission on
\nEnvironmental Quality (CEQ), through its duties and
\nresponsibilities as stated in the County Council Bill No. 86-03,
\nis to encourage protection and preservation of the natural
\nenvironment in Baltimore County and its waterways, including the
\nChesapeake Bay, by educating the community to make
\nenvironmentally sustainable decisions and enlightening, advising,
\nand initiating dialogue with County officials. We will
\nfacilitate communication between the County government and its
\nresidents on environmental needs, programs, and legislation.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe CEQ’s actions are two fold. First, the CEQ provides insights
\nto County Officials as environmental questions arise. Second, the
\nCEQ selects environmental issues to evaluate and works with
\nCounty Officials to develop environmentally sound, economically
\npractical, and sustainable results.\n<\/p>\n
