\nOn Thanksgiving Day I remembered a "tent city" of homeless people set up outside City Hall in Baltimore. It was a cold day so Yo and I decided to round up and donate all the spare coats we had. It was our first time visiting. It is a very well organized community. Civilized, kind and constructive. While everyone was so very grateful for what we brought, I have to say that our coats were all a bit on the small side and didn’t fit as many people as we hoped. We also learned that they could use blankets.

\nWho are the homeless? Brothers and sisters. Sons and daughters. Mothers and fathers. Neighbors. Everyone may have their own views about people in need. It is not so much about what the homeless deserve, or anyone for that matter, but rather about the kind of person YOU want to be. You are part of our Proteus family. And our family is about so much more than just bicycles. Any coats (on the larger size) and blankets you can spare would be so appreciated. I will collect donations at the shop until Sunday, February 25. Everything that is donated will be brought and distrubuted at tent city Monday the 26th. Thank you so much for your kindness.
