The section in question extends from milepost 4.0 southward to the intersection of Hoyle Lane, which is just north of milepost 3.5.  This section of the trail will remain closed until repairs can be made.  (I&#8217;m guessing this probably won&#8217;t be until the weather gets a little warmer.)<br \/>\nThe following detour is posted around the closed section:<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nSouthbound:<br \/>\nAt the &quot;trail closed&quot; signs near milepost 4.0, dismount and follow the dirt footpath to the right approximately 50 feet to the next street, Randell Rd.<br \/>\nProceed south on Randell Rd. 0.1 mi. to stop sign.<br \/>\nRight on Roads End Lane and go 0.1 mi. to stop sign.<br \/>\nLeft on Old County Rd. and go 0.15 mi.<br \/>\nLeft on Hoyle Lane and go 0.3 mi.<br \/>\nRight on B&amp;A Trail and continue south.<br \/>\nNorthbound:<br \/>\nAt the &quot;trail closed&quot; signs,<br \/>\nLeft on Hoyle Lane and go 0.3 mi. to stop sign.<br \/>\nRight on Old County Rd. and go 0.15 mi.<br \/>\nRight on Roads End Lane and go 0.1 mi.<br \/>\nLeft on Randell Rd. and go 0.1 mi. to dead end.<br \/>\nDismount and follow dirt footpath about 50 feet to B&amp;A Trail.<br \/>\nContinue north on B&amp;A Trail.<br \/>\nFor cyclists who do not want to dismount and walk on the footpath, the following detour is suggested instead:<br \/>\nSouthbound:<br \/>\nAt the six-way intersection (B&amp;A Trail, Evergreen Rd., B&amp;A Blvd., and Old County Rd.),<br \/>\nCross Evergreen Rd., bear right on Old County Rd. and go 1.1 miles.<br \/>\nLeft on Hoyle Lane and go 0.3 mi.<br \/>\nRight on B&amp;A Trail and continue south.<br \/>\nNorthbound:<br \/>\nAt the &quot;trail closed&quot; signs,<br \/>\nLeft on Hoyle Lane and go 0.3 mi. to stop sign.<br \/>\nRight on Old County Rd. and go 1.1 miles.<br \/>\nAt the 2nd stop sign, proceed straight through the six-way intersection onto<br \/>\nB&amp;A Trail north.<br \/>\noldId.20070212064758191<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ken Philhower (BBC) Cyclists who ride on the B&amp;A Trail in Anne Arundel County should be aware that a 0.4-mile section of the trail between Severna Park and Arnold is closed due to a washout.
