Also, please feel free to forward this email to others that<br \/>\nmay be interested.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nBaltimore County Office of Planning<br \/>\nFourth Floor, County Courts Building<br \/>\n401 Bosley Avenue, Towson<br \/>\n(Enter from the Courthouse Plaza after 5 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p>4:00-5:00 \tA Special Presentation By Dan Burden:<br \/>\nMr. Burden, a nationally-recognized expert on walking and bicycling, will addess<br \/>\nthe Planning Board on Transportation and Liveable Communities. <\/p>\n<p>5:00-6:30 \tReception with Dan Burden:<br \/>\nTake advantage of this opportunity to talk with Dan about your pedestrian and<br \/>\nbicycling problems and ideas.<\/p>\n<p>5:30-8:30 \tBicycling and Walking Open House:<br \/>\nLearn about the draft Eastern County Pedestrian and Bicycle Access Plan. Provide<br \/>\ninput to the upcoming planning process for the Western Baltimore County<br \/>\nPedestrian and Bicycle Access Plan.<\/p>\n<p>OVERLEA WALKABLE WORKSHOP<\/p>\n<p>Dan Burden will lead a Walkable Overlea Workshop, providing an opportunity for<br \/>\ncommunity residents and business owners to collaborate with elected officials and<br \/>\ncounty and state planners on how to improve opportunities for walking and<br \/>\nbicycling.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 1 from 9 a.m. &#8211; 2 p.m., at the<br \/>\nOverlea Recreation Center, located at 7209 Belair Road.  Overlea residents who are<br \/>\ninterested in participating may call Laurie Hay, Baltimore County Office of<br \/>\nPlanning at 410-887-3480 for a reservation.<\/p>\n<p>MORE ABOUT DAN BURDEN<\/p>\n<p>An urban designer, Dan Burden is a nationally recognized authority on bicycle<br \/>\nand pedestrian facilities and programs, roadway corridor and intersection design,<br \/>\ntraffic flow and traffic calming.  He has over 25 years experience, including 16<br \/>\nyears as Florida DOT\u2019s State Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator.
