\ngrowing trend among counties is to get moving and healthier.<\/span> <\/p>\n
\nall began last year when officer Kam [Cooke] and I came up with an idea for a
\ncommunity bike ride,\u201d Cpl. Dominic Scali, Anne Arundel County Police Department
\nsaid. \u201cThis is also an opportunity for our department to show what a bike
\npatrol is and what they do while raising money for county non-profits.\u201d<\/span>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\nAnne Arundel County Lifeline 100 Century Ride offers a great experience for
\ncyclists of all levels with 100\u2013, 56\u2013 and 15\u2013mile routes with a \u2018kiddie and
\nfamily\u2019 ride option for younger children and their parents. The routes wind
\nthroughout the county with views of downtown Annapolis, the Severn River,
\nsouthern parts of the county, BWI-Thurgood Marshall Airport and more. The ride
\nis a part of the all-day \u201cMake Health Happen Community Health Fair\u201d at Kinder
\nFarm Park.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nare proud to be hosting the bike ride and health fair,\u201d Anne Arundel County Executive
\nLaura Neuman said. \u201cThis first of its kind initiative emphasizes the health and
\neconomic benefits of safe bicycling in the county.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
