I&#8217;ll note per FARS the right side of trucks being the initial point of a fatal crash involving a cyclist is 22.4% of all truck fatal cycling crashes versus cars at 6.4%.  On the pedestrian side, trucks right side 10.6% versus cars 2.4%.<br \/>\nTrucks using their right side to kill vulnerable road users stands out as being over represented in truck crashes but nothing is really being done to address that other than the Commercial Drivers manual saying cyclists and pedestrians are a hazard.
