Our roads are here for people to get around.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At a conference earlier this week Bloomberg went further. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nypost.com\/p\/news\/local\/bloomberg_roads_mass_transit_cyclists_P9epgAzzLnSZxGqXECwaTI\">told delegates<\/a> at the Designing Cities conference \u2013 hosted by city Department of Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan \u2013 that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe streets were there to transport people.
