{"id":222630470,"date":"2012-01-21T17:47:50","date_gmt":"2012-01-21T17:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=222630470"},"modified":"2012-01-21T17:47:50","modified_gmt":"2012-01-21T17:47:50","slug":"freedom-bike-and-walking-trail-discussion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=222630470","title":{"rendered":"Freedom Bike and Walking Trail Discussion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Valerie Bonk, Patch<\/p>\n<p>The second meeting in Carroll County\u2019s discussion of bike and walking trails in the Freedom Area was a little quieter than the first meeting in October, where a heated argument broke out over a local resident\u2019s individual efforts to create a trail without approval.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday\u2019s discussion at the South Carroll Senior Center was all about moving on.<\/p>\n<p>A smaller group of 30 people, compared to the more than 70 that showed up in October, were led in a discussion by Carroll County Recreation and Parks Administrator Jeff Degitz who made sure to those in attendance that this was &quot;starting over&quot; for the trail idea in Southern Carroll County.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a line on a map before, but there is not a line anymore,\u201d said Degitz. \u201cWhile I applaud that individual effort, we do come here tonight without a line on a map. That line now comes from you.
