{"id":207710709,"date":"2011-08-02T01:25:09","date_gmt":"2011-08-02T01:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=207710709"},"modified":"2011-08-02T01:25:09","modified_gmt":"2011-08-02T01:25:09","slug":"biking-rocks-for-policing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=207710709","title":{"rendered":"Biking rocks for policing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Dan Sokil<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nPatrol officer Tim Cornelius has a new ride, one that\u2019s more stealthy and maneuverable than any of his fellow Lansdale Police Department officers\u2019 patrol cars \u2014 and gets much better gas mileage, too.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nSeveral officers have taken the same training as Cornelius through the Baltimore-based International Police Mountain Bike Association, and he says the certification that one earns by taking the four-day, 32-hour course is well worth the work.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\n\u201cIt makes the police department more approachable to borough residents.
