{"id":202470808,"date":"2011-06-02T09:53:28","date_gmt":"2011-06-02T09:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=202470808"},"modified":"2011-06-02T09:53:28","modified_gmt":"2011-06-02T09:53:28","slug":"why-we-promote-bicycling-because-everyone-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=202470808","title":{"rendered":"Why we promote bicycling &#8211; because everyone benefits."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It may serve to remind the greater public that:<br \/>\nWe do not promote bicycling for the benefit of a few grumpy old guys trying to relive their youth, they&#8217;ll keep on biking no matter what. <br \/>\nWe do not promote bicycling for the yuppies and their the &#8220;new golf.&#8221; They will find areas to ride and compete irregardless of what happens locally.<br \/>\nWe do not promote bicycling for any made up or perceived minority of population. <\/p>\n<p>We promote bicycling so everyone benefits. Those that bicycle enjoy a great many personal benefits and those that don&#8217;t bicycle enjoy the cleaner air and safer streets, just to name a few things.
