{"id":198670991,"date":"2011-04-19T10:23:11","date_gmt":"2011-04-19T10:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=198670991"},"modified":"2011-04-19T10:23:11","modified_gmt":"2011-04-19T10:23:11","slug":"harford-county-maryland-bicycle-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.baltimorespokes.org\/?p=198670991","title":{"rendered":"Harford County, Maryland: Bicycle Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Harford County, Maryland: Bicycle Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With more and more people of all ages starting to bike for trips&nbsp;to work, to school, and&nbsp;to shopping,&nbsp;and for pleasure and&nbsp;exercise it is becoming very important that everyone understands the safety that should be considered.<\/p>\n<p>In Harford County, there will be two events for just that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 2nd &#8211; 6:00 &#8211; 8:00 p.m., Bike Helmet Safety Awareness Program<br \/><\/strong>The program will be held at seven of the Harford County Public Library branches: Abingdon, Aberdeen, Bel Air, Darlington, Edgewood, Havre de Grace, and Joppatowne libraries.&nbsp; Helmet fittings will be completed by police officers and volunteers from the Greg Krause Memorial Helmet Fund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 6th &#8211; 5:30 pm &amp; 6:30 pm, Bicycle Rodeo, Harford County Public Library, Abingdon Branch<br \/><\/strong>Harford County Sheriff&#8217;s Office&#8217;s Community Policing Unit will review bicycle safety training and test the skills of the registered participants on an obstacle course.&nbsp; This event is designed to teach children ages 5-12 year-old about safety practices while riding a bicycle.&nbsp; Registration is required.&nbsp; Please register at the Abingdon Library.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/activerain.com\/blogsview\/2251965\/harford-county-maryland-bicycle-safety\">https:\/\/activerain.com\/blogsview\/2251965\/harford-county-maryland-bicycle-safety<\/a>oldId.20110419102311444<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Harford County, Maryland: Bicycle Safety With more and more people of all ages starting to bike for trips&nbsp;to work, to school, and&nbsp;to shopping,&nbsp;and for pleasure and&nbsp;exercise it is becoming very important that everyone understands the safety that should be considered.
