All those tubes add up to<br \/>\ntons of waste when you think about all the bike shops in the Baltimore\/DC area.<br \/>\nPerformance Bike, however, is teaming up with Liberty Tire to sponsor the Bike<br \/>\nTube Blow-Out over the next two weekends, which will take place at<br \/>\nPerformance\u2019s new store in Columbia, MD. <strong>Anyone who brings in their<br \/>\nflat or unused tubes, from August 13<sup>th<\/sup>-15<sup>th<\/sup> and 20<sup>th<\/sup>-22<sup>nd<\/sup>,<br \/>\nwill receive a &#36;5 in store credit, and can trade in up to 3 tubes for a total<br \/>\nof &#36;15.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These \u201cBlow-Outs\u201d have been hugely popular in other cities, and the<br \/>\nhope is that bringing it to such a major cycling-heavy metropolitan area will<br \/>\nmean even more saved material from the city\u2019s landfills.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewashcycle.com\/2010\/08\/bike-tube-recycling.html\">https:\/\/www.thewashcycle.com\/2010\/08\/bike-tube-recycling.html<\/a>oldId.20100817142605422<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by washcycle I&#8217;m a little late on this, as it already started, but it isn&#8217;t over.
