Congress is about to draft the 6-Year
\nTransportation Reauthorization bill that could bring billions to
\nMaryland in national transportation funding and set priorities
\nthat will affect our region.<\/p>\n

If we choose to fund the right
\npriorities, this money could be used to invest in Metrorail, the
\nPurple Line, buses, and bicycle\/pedestrian needs. We could link
\naffordable housing to jobs to address the regional economic
\ndivide, all while ensuring that we reduce energy consumption,
\nstormwater pollution, and greenhouse gases by adopting smarter
\ngrowth and transportation alternatives.<\/p>\n
