Celebrating its<br \/>\n5<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-weight: medium\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-weight: medium\"><br \/>\nanniversary, Kennedy Krieger Institute&rsquo;s annual fundraiser <\/span><b>ROAR<br \/>\nfor Autism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: medium\"> will be held on<br \/>\n<\/span><b>Saturday, April 25<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: medium\"> at<br \/>\n<\/span><b>Oregon Ridge Park<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: medium\">.<br \/>\nFollowing a successful 2008 fundraiser that featured over 1,000<br \/>\nparticipants, once again teams of families and friends will<br \/>\nparticipate in the activity-filled event that helps raise critically<br \/>\nneeded funds for autism research.  Autism, a complex, life-altering,<br \/>\ndevelopmental disorder, affects 1 in every 150 children.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-size: small;\"><b>ROAR<br \/>\nfor Autism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: medium\"> will feature events<br \/>\nand activities for every member of the family including challenging<br \/>\n50- and 25- mile rides, a 10-mile ride for recreational bikers, a<br \/>\n5-mile ride designed for beginner cyclists, and a kid&rsquo;s youth<br \/>\nfun ride.  For those who prefer to stay off the road and in the<br \/>\nwoods, hiking trails at Oregon Ridge will be open with guides<br \/>\navailable to lead tours. In addition to the hiking and biking<br \/>\nactivities, there will also be a family fun festival including face<br \/>\npainting, children&rsquo;s entertainment, and the popular Wegman&rsquo;s<br \/>\nWellness Village featuring healthy food for all families including<br \/>\nthose with children on special autism diets. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 0.5in; margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">With<br \/>\nlast year marking the successful introduction of the online team<br \/>\nfundraising component, participants can once again go online to<br \/>\nregister, join a fundraising team, and to build a personal<br \/>\nfundraising page to raise money from supporters.
